Hi everyone, I’m Toddy. Thank you for visiting The Cosmical!
It was a dark and cloudless night at Jasper National Park, and coincidentally, it was also my first time camping out with mother nature. The kid-version of Toddy had never seen so many stars in his twelve years of continued existence.
I was too young to understand back then, but that exact memory shaped the way I would make decisions and live my life.
If people sat outside and looked at the stars each night, I bet they’d live a lot differently. When you look into infinity, you realize there are more important things than what people do all day.
Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson
God created the universe and everything in it. It would be a shame to end this life not learning and seeing everything possible. I dream about experiencing the mysteries and wonders of this world, and to walk on the surface of another.
Life is too short for the pursuit of the social norm – with a 9-5 job and two weeks of vacation every year. Now, I’m not one for the “you only live once” ideology, but the premise is left to be considered. So, let’s be smart about it and not waste life away.
With that in mind, I’ve created this website to support such a dream while writing about the stars that started it all.
My aim is to pass on my understanding of the universe and everything it encompasses in the form of an informative and entertaining website. I may not be an astronomer, but if I gained anything from graduating with a Bachelor of Science – it’s the ability to research, analyze, and regurgitate information in an understandable and coherent manner (with a little touch of personality of course).
I hope you enjoy everything I’ve put together and has hopefully improved your understanding of the cosmos. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any comments, questions, or concerns. I would love to improve this site and give you guys the best experience possible.
*I place ads on this website, as well as recommend links, products, and companies to generate some potatoes, which makes it possible to keep this site moving (and help me see the world). If there are any problems, please email me and I will do my best to sort out the issue and remove the link if necessary. They are not here with the intention of causing an inconvenience but a necessity. Thank you for understanding!
